Join photographer and storyteller Simon Lister (Netflix Tales by Light, UNICEF and UN) for a special screening of What We Learn, a new documentary series exploring education in the world’s most unique and challenging environments.
Episode 1 travels to the jungles of West Papua, Indonesia, where Simon meets students and teachers of the Child Aid Papua Foundation. Here, children learn as much from the surrounding jungle as from any textbook — reading the forest canopy, immersing themselves in one of the world’s largest biodiversity playgrounds, learning the rhythms of the tides, and carrying forward traditional ecological knowledge alongside core academic subjects.
Through Simon’s lens, we witness other worlds through the power of an image and cinematic storytelling.
